Cantil, California – The Friends of Jawbone is excited to announce that it will soon host its 15th Moose Anderson Days at the Jawbone Canyon Visitor Center, which is located on State Highway 14 approximately 20 miles north of Mojave. The two-day event will be held on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24, beginning each day with breakfast at 7:30 am. The annual Moose Anderson Days is the biggest gathering of the year for the Friends of Jawbone, and is a great recreational opportunity for all OHV and outdoor enthusiasts.
The event will include an off-road poker run, a 4×4 tour, an Easter Egg hunt, several clean-up projects and much more. Those who pre-register for the event by April 14 will receive a free T-shirt. For pre-registration information and a schedule of a events call (760) 373-1146, or visit: www.jawbone.org/moose2011.
“Moose Anderson Days is a great chance for OHV enthusiasts to come together and have a great time before the summer heat sets in,” said Karen Sanders, project coordinator for the Friends of Jawbone. “This year we have some very exciting activities planned, including some clean-up projects, which provide an opportunity to have fun while taking care of our desert. We hope everyone will come out and enjoy themselves.”
Additionally, nearby Red Rock State Park will host its 104th Annual Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday at 6:00 AM. This is an opportunity for Moose Anderson Days participants to take part in a traditional acknowledgement of the holiday.
