Over 15,000 recall notices are being released to customers from BMW’s Motorrad division for three different problems. Owners of BMW’s 2007-2008 K 1200GT; 2007-2009 R 1200 GS, R 1200 GS Adventure, R 1200 R, R 1200 RT and 2007 R 1200 ST are being sent recalls for an issue involving the front brake line. It could develop stress cracks and leaks, leading to the loss of braking performance. Additionally, the 2007 and 2008 G 650 models (X Country, X Moto and X Challenge) are in recall for a roll-gear pin that could dislodge/jam itself between the drive chin and rear sprocket. The third notice is the potential drive chain failure due to improper manufacturing on the 2009 and 2009 F 650 GS and F 800 GS.
