Another new Toy Hauler to check out. Middlebury, Ind.— 2014 marks EverGreen Recreational Vehicles’ entry into the toy hauler fifth-wheel market with the release of the Tesla. The new Tesla jumps the gap between heavy duty utility and pure luxury. Built Like No Other Toy Hauler The Tesla is built with EverGreen’s DuraLite™ Double welded aluminum frame in the walls and floor. Because the frame is double welded and not screwed, it’s stronger. Extra framing struts are placed around all the window, door and baggage compartment openings to add the strength needed to tackle rough back roads and two tracks. The outer walls of Tesla are built with EverGreen’s signature vacuum lamination process, which fuses the gel-coated exterior fiberglass to the aluminum frame, core block-foam insulation, and tough inside panels with a urethane adhesive under high heat and pressure. The vacuum lamination process results in a single stiff, durable wall system. Tesla’s inner walls are built with long-lasting, durable ComposiTekTM.. Composites are lighter, stronger than wood and resist rot, mold, mildew and moisture, which adds to the life of the coach and gives Tesla owners the confidence to camp in any type of inclement weather conditions. Aluminum tread plate kick panels in the garage area protect the lower wall from wheel wear inside as well. Outside, a six-point Level Up leveling system is standard, providing multiple contact surfaces with the ground when setting up camp over rough terrain. Level Up comes equipped with auto re-hitch memory which recalls the exact height at which the hitch was released for greater ease when re-hooking when its time to move on. Tesla’s exterior is finished with a high-gloss fiberglass in two distinctive designer graphics packages with matching painted cap. The fifth-wheel also has an enclosed and heated underbelly that protects the interior of the coach from the elements. Ultimate Comfort Inside, Tough Toy Hauling Features Throughout There are currently six Tesla fifth-wheel toy hauler floor plans available ranging from 32 to 39 feet long. All have two or three slide rooms. The two largest floor plans have convenient kitchen islands. Rear dinettes on all models are fold-over couch systems that convert to queen-sized sleepers with an additional bed above to sleep four adults in the garage area. A large queen bed with Denver mattress is in the master bedroom. Loft beds on some floor plans make space to sleep two more campers inside the living quarters—a favorite with kids. This loft also provides additional storage space to stow gear. Three of the floor plans are equipped with master and half bathrooms. There are even resort style showers. An optional Atwood on-demand tankless hot water heater produces a virtually unlimited hot water supply. Standard features in the Tesla garage include a 3,000-pound ramp door with standard beavertail and a built-in tool box. The 5,000 lb. D-ring tie-downs are mounted to the frame through marine-grade decking material throughout. A non-skid composite material covers the entire garage floor. The barrel ceiling helps to create an industry-first 101” interior height and adds to the spacious feel of the living area, which is separated from the garage compartment with custom etched sliding glass doors. Interior LED lighting is brighter, lasts longer than incandescent and uses less energy. With the ramp up, the garage area is still well lit with large, frameless automotive style tinted windows. Superior ventilation is achieved through a power exhaust fan and venting in the garage area. Garage options on some models include a custom Tesla corner storage locker for helmets and tools. Tesla owners with the Live Wire Package enjoy a stereo with DVD and CD player that creates a fun mood when it interacts with the sound activated party-light system in the ceiling of the coach’s living area. This package also includes a 500 watt amp with kicker speakers with an LCD Touch Screen and a 10-inch kicker sub-woofer with power amp. The TV is also upgradeable to larger LCD models. The kitchen is equipped with an eight cu. ft. double door refrigerator for plenty of food storage on long camping trips, and attractive optional Corian® countertops add style. A 30-inch microwave with built in range hood is included for cooking on the go. For home cooking on the road there’s a three-burner stove with gas oven. For those who enjoy the finer things while traveling, a wine cooler with bar area can be added to the garage area. Campers can relax outside the coach under the power awning and enjoy the outdoor entertainment system controls with exterior speakers. There are four spotlights for night time convenience, two on the door side and two rear-mounted, creating a perfect setup for dawn or dusk setup and takedown. An exterior TV and speakers can also be added to the outdoor configuration. LED rope lighting is standard under the awning. Utilities and Capacities Up front a lockable utility compartment with battery housing comes with an enclosed generator compartment pre-wired for an optional 5.5 Onan. Other utility features include EZ-lube axles, and an18-gallon tank to fuel the generator. A main 40-gallon fuel tank is ready for the toys. The Tesla’s fresh water tank is 174 gallons and has a quick connect port, along with a 50-gallon gray and 50-gallon black water tank with tank flush system. A standard six-gallon gas/electric water heater with direct spark ignition supplies plenty of hot water and allows the flexibility of choosing the power source. The fifth-wheel’s handy black tank flush has digital probes for accurate tank level readings, and dual 30-lb. LP tanks provide plenty of propane. All systems can be monitored with a convenient and easy to read panel. Enormous basement pass-through storage that is lighted and finished can be accessed through large baggage doors with slam door latches. Exterior options include a ramp patio, detachable outside grill, outside kitchen, outside 32-inch LCD TV and exterior radio just to name a few. An Industry-Leading Warranty EverGreen backs up the Tesla with one of the industry’s best warranty packages. This includes a one-year limited warranty, three-year limited structural warranty, and 12-year roofing materials warranty, along with EverGreen’s standard one-year of free roadside assistance for the first year of ownership.
